Book 1 Finding Inspiration.
This book is packed full of fun, right-brained exercises and games to help keep writing time fresh and interesting by taking the student by surprise and helping them to connect with ideas that are interesting to them. The exercises will encourage you to play at finding inspiration, using the senses, working with mystery objects and images, finding titles, creating first lines, hunting for plot, inventing character, exploring different genres etc
The majority of the exercises can be used again and again with different results. Good for those who've been put off English, the exercises can help the reluctant writer and those with 'blank page' syndrome to find ideas they feel enthusiastic about. It will also help those with so many ideas they don't know where to start to channel and focus them.
There are exercises for the visual, verbal, auditory and physical/ kinesthetic learner so hopefully, there is something to appeal to everyone. The book may also be useful to help you identify which sorts of exercises appeal most to your child.
There are printable pages to create your own resources. The book is designed to be an ongoing resource. It can be done independently but some exercises will work better with a friend/parent/sibling.
Suitable for Age 8-80 91 pages £15.00

"I want you to know that my son, since leaving school at age 7, generally refuses to engage in any kind of writing. I had given up encouraging him to write as it created such a battle every time I suggested a writing activity. So this morning I was very excited to get started and I can say that it was a GREAT success! By the third go, he was begging me to let him finish writing after the 2 minutes were up! I really can not remember the last time I have seen him write with such joy, eagerness and determination. "(Nathalie and J)
“Just sat down with your resource for the first time. Rachel: You blow my mind! I cannot thank you enough “ (Ru)
"I just have to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Since reading book 1 I have completely changed everything. I didn’t know if it’d work but oh my goodness, it has done! Yesterday we played with words for half an hour and then I nipped off to get my youngest ready for our forest adventure. I came back ten minutes later to discover my son still excitedly writing. Thank you so much. I can not wait for your second book. "
